Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 6 PM: MVP Outage Update Due to Severe Weather!
As your non-profit power utility, MVP wants to keep our valued customers informed about outages in our service area caused primarily by strong winds, followed by heavy, wet, sticky snow over the last couple of days. The severe weather has created several challenges for our team as we work diligently to restore services.
The MVP service area is experiencing widespread power outages due to the weight of wet snow, which has caused entire trees or branches to fall and either make contact with or break through power lines. The combination of ice and heavy snowfall makes it difficult for our repair crews to safely access and repair the affected areas.
MVP prioritizes the safety of our employees and will send crews out to restore power only when conditions are safe. The current weather poses significant risks during restoration, and we may encounter unforeseen complications.
Our teams are working around the clock to evaluate and address the situation. We have mobilized all available resources to expedite repairs whenever possible.
If you experience an outage, please report it through our website or outage hotline so we can respond promptly.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult period. We value your support and remain committed to restoring service to all affected areas as quickly and safely as possible.
