Good afternoon, Mission Valley Power customers. Due to high wildfire risk, NorthWestern Energy (NWE) is considering a potential widespread power outage in Montana on Thursday, July 25th. However, if NWE implements a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), it will not directly affect Mission Valley Power customers in our service area. NWE has stated that if a PSPS becomes necessary, it would likely impact wildfire-prone areas outside of Butte, Helena, Great Falls, or Bozeman. For updates on NWE’s plans, you can check their website’s Public Safety Power Shutoff map as they continue to monitor the forecasted windy weather.
